FAQ

General

Who can participate?
“Plants and People” conferences are organized by PhD students. We would like to encourage the participation of our peers – PhD students and junior researchers, but everyone is welcome to attend.

Who can register for one of the student talks at Plants and People 2019?
We would like to specifically give our fellow PhD students the opportunity to present their research in the student talks, and encourage them to register and submit an abstract for a talk.

What is included in my registration?
We do not charge a registration fee. The registration includes attendance of the scientific program and coffee breaks/refreshments. Note that lunch and other meals are not included in the registration. If you register for participation in the BBQ on the second day, we will collect a contribution of 5 EUR on site.

Where can I go for lunch during the conference?
You can have lunch at the canteen on the Max Planck Campus. Payment is done with a charge card for guests that you can get on site (at the end of the conference, you can return this card and get any remaining money back). Located close-by, with the option for payments in cash, are the canteen on the Fraunhofer Campus (5 min walk), and, on the University of Potsdam’s Golm Campus, the cafeteria IKMZ and the canteen Golm (10 and 15 min walk, respectively). Moreover, a bakery is located in the REWE supermarket in Golm (10 min walk).
