Our theme for 2019 was '(M)PIMP Future Foods - Challenges for Global Food Security'. P&P 2019 took place on September 3-4, 2019. The conference aimed to give us insights into scientific and social aspects of future challenges with regard to food security: past and current research in plant science that addresses this issue, and discussions about how to meet future food needs in academia and beyond.
