The PhD students of the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology are organising the Plants and People Conferences.
All PhD students at the MPI-MP and within the IMPRS 'Primary Metabolism and Plant Growth' can suggest speakers and join the organising committee. In the early stages of discussing the programme, we decided that the theme of the second meeting should be: “Challenges in Biology - Big Data and Ethics”, looking at advances in biology with a focus to plant biology and at ethics in science and research.

Thanks to the 2011 P&P team who created our "corporate identity", in particular Ulrike Glaubitz and Stefanie Schmidt for logo design and Fred Dethloff and Han-Yi Fu for poster design.
A big Thank you to all helpers on the two conference days!
The Plants and People conference is financially supported by the Max Planck Society and the doctoral programme 'International Max Planck Research School – Primary Metabolism and Plant Growth' (IMPRS-PMPG). The IMPRS-PMPG is a joint doctoral programme of the University of Potsdam and the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology.
We would like to thank the following companies for their financial support of Plants and People 2013:
