How to get there (Public Transport):

For live information about the status of the trains, please check the DB liveauskunft.

To get to the Golm train station (Golm Bahnhof), you can take regional trains RB21 (direction Wustermark) or RB22 (direction Berlin-Schönefeld Airport) from Potsdam (10 min travel time) or Berlin (30-40 min travel time). Trains run from Berlin Friedrichstraße via Hauptbahnhof, Zoologischer Garten, Charlottenburg, Wannsee and Potsdam every half hour during peak times. However, between 10 am and 3pm the train RE1 (direction Magdeburg) or the S-bahn (S7) must be taken to Potsdam Hauptbahnhof and from there the connection to the RB21 or RB22 can be made (transit time, 15 minutes).

From Golm Bahnhof, it is a 10 minute walk to the institute. Please see the map for directions.

From Potsdam, it is also possible to take bus 605 or 606 (30 minute travel time), which stop directly in front of the institute. Please disembark at the stop Wissenschaftspark, Golm.

Please note, if travelling from Berlin, you will need a Berlin ABC ticket.

Further travel information, including directions if travelling by car, can be found on the travel page of the MPI-MP website.
